I love this game. This dev has done so much work on this. It's amazing to see the quality of content and bug fix updates that they put out. It's still pre-alpha and feels like a full universe to me. I started playing it around the beginning of this year and it's become one of my favorite games.

Will there ever be some kind of controller compatibility?

I've been really interested in votv for a good while now, and i really wanna be able to play it but I physically can't play with mnk because of a disability :(

There's a comment further down (posted 18 days ago at the time I'm commenting this) that explains how to add controller support through Steam. Also, I don't know how exactly this is supposed to work because I don't have a controller, but in the settings of the game there's an option to change camera control from mouse to right thumbstick or left thumbstick.

Encountered a issue more than likely just a me thing but my save just up and deleted itself when i was on day 17, my guess is its cause of space on my C drive. I did try moving the save path but it kept going back to the C drive.

I really wish I could enjoy the game like everyone else, but the way items are interacted with (holding left alt... and other buttons? what? why? so needlessly clunky.) completely stops me in my tracks. This game is wonderful and I adore watching it be played, but these item/object interaction control requirements are arcane beyond necessity. Sure I can rebind them, but we're still needlessly using multi key inputs just to put something in my dang hands.

Everything is handled through the 1 2 3 etc menu. No alt keys needed. The alt key is used only to throw or drop things so that left and right click can still be used while something is in your hand. And its a press, not a hold.

I did do the tutorial. I am not talking about the tutorial. I am talking exclusively about how the controls are handled in broad terms when interacting with items.

Right I hate this reddit downvote "OOh he had a problem with the game!!! HOW F**KING DARE HE COMPLAIN!!" so much (Seriously if you do this you will always be a number) so:

Hold E to pick an item up, and press R to put it in your inventory. While holding an item, you can press Mouse1 to throw it (or use while in the main hand) and hold Mouse2 to rotate it. Scroll wheel is reserved for going through the inventory at the top or scrolling through the hover-menu when hovering over an item. E is the default button for pretty much everything, so if you're out of ideas try that one first. The control scheme is similar to how Garry's Mod handles, so you can look there as well to get a better grasp.

I'm not going to hold it against you because it can be rather clunky to get down when you start playing, I don't get why these discord addicted hobgoblins are. Probably lost touch with reality.

I hope you can still enjoy it in spite of the barrier control scheme, there's a lot to this game. Youtube can only give half the experience really.

i have bug!!! The bug is related to the quadracycle when I got out of it I am basically stuck forever I can not even get out of it even in the game menu I can not go to the bug maybe I am the only one who has this bug.

Holy shit, dude.  There's big studios that don't put half as much effort...or content into a patch like you have with this patch!

Люди. Вопрос! Я ещё не открыл песочницу поэтому ответьте! У вас в песочнице в пропах есть конвеер? Или где то на карте он есть? Я просто лазил в файлах игры и нашёл конвеера! Максимка! Ты куда их хочешь запихнуть?
Ещё кое что нашёл! В игре же есть лифт с гаража на 2 этаж. Я ещё какой-то лифт нашёл. Хз пока зачем он...
Я ещё полазил в файлах. Тут довольно много оружия дальнего боя. Пока хз есть ли они в игре и где их если они есть можно достать...

To avoid bugs, you should create a new one. If you don't want to start all over again, you can use the mailbox located outside the front door. it allows you to transfer props between saves

truth be told, i didnt even know thats what the mailbox was for

If you have a KerfurO you can blow it up or have it ride the atv while you crash it and then put the parts in your mailbox!

Why Kerfur get downgrade? In patch 0.8.0 Kefrur gets blocked about every single thing, in 0.7.0 I have played 20days and dont have any problems with Kerfur. Kerfur in 0.7.0 was biggest helpful thing in shop, in 0.8.0 is totally ussless. 

I doubt its a downgrade and more the pathfinding just isn't as good yet cause of the new terrain.

Games tanks to 6 fps when in base with lights on with a 2060gpu just a heads up to anyone looking to play this update with lower end hardware I'm not sure why i started with 60fps then as i walked it tanked to like 16 and inside the base it tanked further unfortunately can't play this update until it's optimized further

Can you try lowering your settings?

I can still get 60fps on my lower end laptop.

6800xt with 5700x get 50-60fps on meddium settings

I also have a 2060, and this is not the case for me, there might be something wrong either with the game settings or your hardware.

Things I've seen which I have problems with the new update. Outside of these, I love it.


- Problem 1 (Glitch)

Whenever I use the computer, it seems to immediately click wherever the mouse thinks it is. Now that wouldn't be bad, but it always seems to click on removing an upgrade, since the upgrade screen is the first thing that pops up when you turn the PC on.

Happens almost on every startup, then maybe 40% of the time after that. Only seems to happen on either the upgrade section or the store. At least the store you can undo, but if the game decides to downgrade your upgrades, then you lose some cash in the process.


- Problem 2 (Odd but not that bad)

Also, this new crosshair in the middle of the screen, is there any way to remove it/make it smaller? I just think it stands out too much for me.


- Problem 3 (Annoying)

Is it just me, or is the ATV much easier to damage? In last update, it would get damaged by slamming into rock/tree or something physical. Now it seems to get damaged by driving up a slope at higher speeds, and the ATV "bottoms out", or even just hitting a bump at normal speed.

Wait... do you mean that if I play on the 24th the game will deliberately do a Bad Sun event? If that's the case that is just criminal and brilliant

Yeah its kinda evil but I love it lol. I started playing blind on April 23rd so imagine my surprise when I got on the game the next day.

I wonder if it's a reference to something, similar to a "Friday the 13th" thing maybe.
