And he's still working on GD. He doesn't really plan to ditch AEWVS for good, but the emotional payoff for developing and releasing an update for some of the members of his community just isn't worth the sheer amount of time and effort it takes to modify all of these blueprints and more (for both him and his computer) as opposed to the ones on GD which is a simplified old-school* game with more creative opportunity

Well AEWVS development became tedious for a number of reasons (convolution, lag, demotivation, monotony, etcetera) so he wants to work on a game he thinks is far more fun instead: GD. Which probably stands for "gem digging" or "game design" or something. It's a Doom-style game about mining.

Here's a link if you want to see if it gets unlocked for a brief period of time. Alternatively you can go on Patreon and become a heccin ch0nker for like $5 (USD) to go on Discord and play unreleased demos like AEWVS, Alex' Basics: Scrina's Sensors, Canned Dog, GD, and whatever else he's doing.  If that doesn't work, you'll have to become a　ｍｅｇａ　ｃｈｏｎｋｅｒ　for three times that price, although the only extra benefit is a pass to the advisors' channels in Discord so you'll probably just have to pay $5.

It's probably a glitch. I dunno if you can bypass it with...something...IDK...maybe the staff. It's beyond the bridge, but it's probably also in untitled52. There's stuff beyond the bridge, but mainly it's just a laggy-as-heck room with a mass of Froot Loops falling from a pipe. Which will probably be changed later after some versions. After Version 0.29 after a bunch of GD development.

So um, first...dang, I literally just woke up, so no matter how I say this, it'll sound emotionally defensive...but um, I'm just gonna say it straight. I'm pretty sure last time I made it clear that I didn't play this in a while. I still check the pages regularly, but yes, I'm doing quite a lot of other stuff. I haven't really actually played AEWVS in like months. It sounds like MrDrNose is getting tired of it too by the looks of it. Granted, a ｌｏｔ of my main current projects surround it, but...um...you can guess why

Besides, 1: I have two unrelated tasks planned ahead of myself when I release Version 0.2 (god I'm wasting so much time), and 2: all the piles of ideas I still have stacked in my head are going to be ｒｅｖｏｌｕｔｉｏｎａｒｙ

So erm...basically I'm pretty much just as into this thing as the rest of you are. You all are still making a bunch of stuff about AEWVS (like basically art and music), but how long has it been since you last played it? Because I assume you haven't played it since last time. The thing is, all the fan project ideas I still have (that were/are/haven't even started being done), even other than my massive project (although they'd be comparatively minor), are very time-consuming. Plus, I've been accumulating some...hmm...I suppose...I didn't do it since like, one month ago I guess? I think I was doing an average of like...10 minor ones per month last time* I guess. But anyway, you probably noticed by now that even though I did get Twitch, the streams stopped coming and they barely started coming. Never mind the other projects. Yeah, I did use to waste entire hours on some of the test maps because fun, but last time that was...last year.

So basically yes, everything grinded to a halt and I think we all, slowly but surely, got unhooked from this thing. If coding wasn't so time-consuming, thought-invoking, tedious and downright monotonous, I would surely be the one holding everything up at this point. The thing about making friends is that it actually has a lot of advantages. I don't have much to do while coding. Sometimes I talk, and sometimes I listen to music or ambience, but I can't do anything that would make me unable to think the whole time, like watch a show. But with a friend, you can keep each other occupied while both getting work done and helping each other. I'm sure you already read some other insights in the document of Version 0.1 (the revelation).

I like maths. They just shove a bunch of rules in your face and let you do all the work. Very simple. The drawback is that in maths and science, there is only one correct path to the answer. If you slip-up once, or don't know what to do but do something close enough, it will drag you exponentially divergently just like any mathematical hyperbolic chaotic system. The only thing that puts you back on track is when you see your answer has a mass of decimal numbers, and you know all of the options only have integers. In other subjects, it's really nice when you have a lot of different arguments and perspectives all converging into one conclusion. The thing is though, I don't learn anything until I use the information quite a few times. Which is why I remember silly things like googolplexianiteronhedronanavereondiallagoshalalcazaronbrientae, Oreichalkini Gata, Fidilektriki, Perpaoulkon, Pagoniplo-Igetis...? Nah didn't get that right, I barely see her; Peragmeti and Ormichanikardia, and don't know barely a thing about either Iraq, Iran or Zimbabwe. I suppose. I never bothered to learn the buses and destinations until I caught some myself, although to be fair I was waiting about an hour for them.

*sigh* why am I saying all this? I think my idea is pretty clear at this point. You were the one who talked about it in the parent comment, after all...

Yes I think that would ｓｅｒｉｏｕｓｌｙ benefit so many people on so many levels even if it sounds really unfair for a very particular reason. Although they stopped caring by the time I attended one of MUG's streams (or maybe they just forgot whatever I said, because honestly I'm quite emotionally volatile and I pretty much rely on it to be motivated to do anything). How could I deny such an opportunity? Most of my ideas haven't even been written down anywhere yet. The current simulation only handles the fundamentals and the engine, but I can think of at least five main benefits of my vision. (See if you can describe all of them.) I just need to do it.

And of course the problem is that it focuses heavily on the destination, not the journey. Which is extremely long.

So yes. I am all about productivity, but my demotivation and probably my mental disorders pick all of it up and put it directly in the hole. Besides, I've been having trouble getting actual opportunities recently anyways. Honestly I think I should be getting closer, not further. Considering the fact that I'm actually pretty far at the moment. It's just me though. And I have no idea where to actually find any other place, but um, well, two of my classmates did start a Discord server for a class project with me. Never got to know any of them prior to that point.

IKR I'm so tired of this comment section practically being run by a non-Watcher, a senseless chatter, a weirdo fanatic and someone who's like...come on. This isn't a very good place to chat. Somebody put something on r/strobovski already. This comment section looks even more messy than it would if each comment was by a different person, because at least then it would be uniformly diverse. But no, it's just us three heterogenous people making a mess of this place, and some other new players who I don't know will come back again as newer players or as returning fans. And...*checks comments* yeah my comment posts are random and messy as hell. This is ｈｅｃｋ

I don't know whether I should find it hard to believe that Discord's still active...I mean it's pretty much a secluded club of weirdos chatting, and everybody who has the sense that any server will waste time to be in won't go in it. Especially if they had other games to play.

Also if you get the influx of peeps coming back again who first played the game, it will be a senseless mess of Let's Play videos where people give up on playing this game again. Everybody follows the trends, but nobody follows a difficult perceptive fangame for long. People take in the experience at the first level every time and Diefthyntis is just like, "hm. Okay. Intrusion successfully averted." And Viktor is just like "TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO VIKTORIOUS" and Erie and Alice are just like

Until then, this is what we have to deal with...My disciplinary motivation dwindles by the day. Not even getting any gosh dang projects done. I know that my next stream will just be another long session where I have to ponder over frustrating code while trying to think. Such tedious thought is something that slowly I avert from. My visions have been in my head for too long, and I relied on them for the motivation. Quite exclusively. All my projects are about the destination and not the journey, because the journey at this point is tedious.

Anyway yes. This place is a freaking mess and I just made a bigger mess. Honestly it would be less messy if it was an auditory speech, and not a series of paragraphs that isn't even isolated in a separate page. Even the other kid seems to be making a more homogenous series of comments than me, although it's because they're all the same, and I just don't even know anymore I can't say anything at all this sucks

It's like we're relying on the last alpha release of AEWVS to get this thing thriving again, because people sure as heck won't be impressed if we ask them to come and play it again twice. Especially considering the development rate. Nobody's even gonna play until we have something new to do, because it's an utter waste of time at this point when we've done and unlocked everything. Especially with so many overpowered items. I know people are still posting a lot of stuff, like art, and that's pretty much it, but my feel of what AEWVS is truly like is drifting away. The idea as a whole is just slowly turning into a burning memory
