Hello I am a real fan of this game, I will like to talk with you
mrdrnose.

The game for its mechanics of horror game is perfect but it has problem,here are my suggestions for improving the game while correcting these problems :

Easter Eggs: 

It's good to add Easter Eggs but there are too many, as you can see all the popular youtubeurs make fun of Easters Eggs, that's why I propose two solutions:
 
All monsters in the Easters Eggs in a level appear in the game because the more characters there are, the better it will be like the new Balid Basic. We do not know the history of the game at the beginning, it would be good indices for each level won and Easters Eggs should supplement these indices but even more.

Random event: 

In the new version of Baldi Basic we have random events like fog, water leak, doors that prevent us from escaping etc ...

I think it would be great if you added events too, but even more scary like all the lights that go out where we hear weird noises in the dark with another monster who stalks us, a tide of blood, phantom children who appear and who murmur you can not escape, give up etc ... In short events that would disadvantage us while frightening us.

Pussy Mode Idea : 

I have nothing against the pussy mode, but I just had an illumination for its utillity in the game. The pussy mode is the original game before it becomes a horror game.

My idea is that we start the level normally, where a teacher presents the rules, everything goes well, except that the more we advance in the game, the more the teacher or we become weird (insult, threat), we see ghosts a bit like Albert who recommend that we escape as quickly as possible and the sets that change as and when. We go into another dimension, then we come back in our dimension, a little like Outlast 2. One of the events that I mentioned triggers every time we solve a notebook. After collecting all the notebooks in the original mode (pussy), the horror game begins.

For the other difficulty, I would simply put easy, normal and difficult (of course write your way). A bit like Outlast


Level generator: 

Honestly I think it would be a very good idea as Baldi Basic if you lose 3 times the generator changes, the game would be harder and cooler.

Final hunt:

For me to reinforce this dimension of horror game, the decorations should for example why not blood red or walls and the floor full of blood, and the real face of the monsters should be displayed as the face of the main that you can see all the monsters as well as Victor's true face the same for Marzia except that since it's the second level it should be even more scary like why not all the lights go out and child ghosts appear on all the walls, whispering abandoned, and full of negative things.

Best music:

I loved Victor's music for the final hunt, but the one with Marzia should be even more scary like this : (it represents the dark / predatory side of Marzia)


For Alice this one will be perfect : (it represents Alice's story and how she became so monstrous, with a mixture of despair and rage.)


Others Suggestion : 

- Remake the old intro with Viktor

- Remake the menu

- A better explanation for some objects of the game (like in Outlast or Amnesia, ex :"if you want to use the lighter press z)

- More characters like Granny who make jumpscares

- When a jumpscare hits the player his sanity decreases by half

- Make an hell difficulty , where all your answers are false. Viktor, Marzia, are very pissed, more fast, more dangerous, more creepy. With best easters eggs once finished.

- The alarm in the language level should be used, when the player has picked up 6 language notebooks in normal, 8 in easy for more stress.

- When the player has picked up 6 language notebooks in normal, 8 in easy, Marzia change her behavior, (like Viktor in the maths level,he does not make any noise, when we reach 6 or 8 maths notebooks.)So after that Marzia said something like Viktor, her behavior becomes the opposite and she can break doors. 

- When a player is in the process resolves problems in the Notebook and Granny appears, she interrupts the player, and the player has a jumpscare at the same time.

- When a player is solving a notebook, events can appear like screams, cries of children, girls, men, or monsters, children who murmur.

- Change the little pussy mode for the language level, Marzia shouldn't pursue the player.


You should honestly delete the drawings of your fans in the second level, and you put other things in the place, to see these drawings it would be enough to unlock the extra mode, after finishing the game.

Your game is fine but you should make it much more scary, if you want some examples do not hesitate to look at my latest comments, and the comments of your fans as devon who also gives good ideas.

I know you're the creator of this game, I have nothing to say about it, but these are tips from a fan, free to decide.

Mrdrnose, you should add more sentences in the language Notebook , we have the same, it becomes too easy for the players.

We should begin with sentences like that in the first and second language Notebook : 

The dog will eat his croquettes

A car is being washed by my father

To be a good student I listen

I LOVE WATERMELONS !!!!!!!

Marzia has bought all the watermelons from the store

Work in a good mood, to work better

Mr.Cleany picks up the garbage

Doggo plays with children

Granny makes a cake and eats it with his family

Viktor cuts the cake with his axe

The Rose is Red and Wonderful

etc ...

After Marzia screams (HOW DARE YOU !!!!), sentences that were simple and normal become more complex,glaucous and  the last sentences have no logic like"IRAKEKFDJOIFEJFZOHURZFPO¨DSOHFUI¨ROZRIEUHRPËOZROJ ZFP"

Sentences after the 2nd Language Notebook  :

Hello. I am a big fan of this game, and I would like to talk to you, mrdrnose.

The horror game for its mechanics of horror is perfect, but it has a few problems; here are my suggestions for improving the game while correcting these problems:

Easter Eggs: 

It's good to add Easter Eggs, but there are too many (1): as you can see, all the popular YouTubers make fun of Easter Eggs. That's why I propose two solutions: All monsters in the Easters Eggs in a level appear in the game because the more characters there are, the better it will be, like the new BBIEAL. We do not know the history of the game at the beginning, so it would be a good incentive for each level beaten, and the Easter Eggs should supplement these incentives even more. (2)

Random Events:

In the new version of BBIEAL, we have random events like fog, leakage, doors that prevent us from escaping, etc.

I think it would be great if you added events too (3), but even more scary, like all the lights going out where we hear weird noises in the dark with another monster who stalks us, a tide of blood, phantom children who appear and murmur "you cannot escape", "give up", etc. in short events that would advantage/disadvantage us while frightening us. I have nothing against the Lil Puss mode, but I just had an illumination for its utillity in the game. The Lil Puss mode is the original game before it becomes a horror game. (5)

-The alarm clock in the Language Level should be restored when the player has picked up a certain number of language notebooks (according to the mode).

-When the player has picked up a certain number of notebooks, Marzia should change her behaviour (like Viktor in the Math Level, where he walks silently). After Marzia says something like Viktor, her behaviour will become the opposite and she will break doors. (16)

-When the player is solving a notebook and Granny appears, she should interrupt the player, giving them a jumpscare as normal, but forcing them to return the notebook and start again.

-While the player is solving a notebook, auditory events should occur, like screams, cries and murmurs of children, men, women and/or monsters.

-Make it so that Marzia doesn't pursue the player in Lil Puss Mode. (17)

You should honestly delete the fanart in the language level and put other things in place. To see these paintings, it should be enough to unlock the extra mode, after finishing the game. (18)

Also, mrdrnose, you should add more sentences in the language notebooks. We keep having the same ones, which makes it quite easy for the players. (See the original post for more info.) After Marzia screams ("HOW DARE YOU!"), sentences that were simple and normal become more complex and glaucous, and the last sentences have no logic like "IRAKEKFDJOIFEJFZOHURZFPO¨DSOHFUI¨ROZRIEUHRPËOZROJ ZFP" (19). The more we collect notebooks, the more the sentences become glaucous.

Your game is fine, but you should make it much more scary. If you want some examples, do not hesitate to look at my latest comments, and the comments of your fans such as Devon who also give good ideas. (20)

1: It depends. All the existing Easter Eggs right now revolve around the lore, except for the meme at the end of the long hallway in the Language Level, as well as the cancerous green book of internet memes on the top storey and also the nuclear pigeon, which makes the History Level free to explore as it's being developed. I do agree that there's a bit many (the lower the level, the more there are - seriously, see for yourself), but yeah. I won't spoil them all here, but since you look like a loyal fan, I will upon request, on the condition that you agree to ruin the surprises for yourself, which some people don't like since it spoils the experience for them (hence, spoilers). The hidden buttons added in Version 0.1.3b are a bit mundane though.

2: The whole idea is that each level will have deep secrets to be explored and found. I forgot what I was going to say next, but I guess I just wanted to point that out.

3: That's okay, but remember what he spammed on the front page once, which is now only said four times: "this is not a fan game". It actually is, but it's not meant to directly be like BBIEAL anymore. While it will retain core similarities in elements, and we do want BBIEAL and AEWVS to come closer together (in terms of communities and knowledge), AEWVS will seldom use BBIEAL's elements simply for that purpose again.

4: I feel like having the ghost children appearing and whispering things is a bit obvious. We're not really supposed to know what's going on until we explore, and I think the shadow ghosts in the caféteria were enough. And having a tide of blood just for the heck of it is a bit redundant and forced, and retracts from the already-established lore. Besides, we already have a few random events, despite them being inconsequential, like a random murmur here or there, or an alarm announcing warnings to the Head Teacher. I would also consider Granny's appearance one of them, too. When you think about it, it is.

5: It's supposed to be a joke mode for, as it says, little pusses. The idea of getting used to the map and the problems isn't really going to be affected, but yeah. I don't even think it was really a school before it was repurposed as one, since there are way too many classrooms and confusing layouts, and not enough teachers.

6: See 3. I think a random generator would be best for a limited section of the Geometry Level, or Mathematics #2. Not only would everything be difficult to program and fit in (considering how connected everything is), but AEWVS is about strategy, which would be more difficult to implement if people only had three chances to get a working strategy into place and succeed before having to start all over again.

7: Viktor's mask is his true face - he's a tarwill, after all. See AEWVS: Christmas Curse for more info, or find a way to do something with the chalk.

8: In case you didn't notice, the chase music for Marzia is now Wrillez Basics: Discordia. Tell us what you think of that one first, since it's basically an extension of the Language Level theme.

9: As it turns out, Alice is a human being possessed by an entity called Tiara, which gives her various transformations. So she only has one true personality, which recently has become quite friendly and positive. I'm still willing to bet on the loneliness and isolation of Alice and Tiara though. Also, mrdrnose has said on Discord that Baldi, Viktor and Marzia all had chase sequences, and he wants something different for Alice.

10: Yeah, that was pretty helpful, albeit a bit spoiling (though every decent game needs a content warning, so it's okay).

11: He's doing that, even though it's still not done. See the test menu at the bottom of the screen. It's planned to be about some computer monitor.

12: It would be nice to allow Angell to examine and describe various items, which I'm thinking about doing. But remember, AEWVS is about creativity, problem-solving and experimentation - which is the key to learning all of it's secrets, so keep that in mind.

13: If they're just like Granny, they'd be a bit redundant. At least now, her jumpscare gives effects. Your sanity now lowers when she jumpscares you, which recently was updated to alter your vision and control your actions at lower levels. Other than that, characters with jumpscares are okay. I do notice how characters like Doggos and Phonty kind of don't though - they just behave threateningly and make you drop and roll onto the floor by killing you in various ways.

14: Granny already does that, but that doesn't really sound like a bad idea. Also, Angell is a girl. Who I didn't even realise was until her gender and name were confirmed.

15: Have you played Brainiac Mode yet? There are also slight peaks and differences in the modes, so what would Hell mode be like?

16: In Brainiac Mode, Marzia busts down doors instead of merely opening them once she manages to get through. I imagine that would be the change, which would apply to every mode instead of just Brainiac, at different numbers of notebooks. But she's quite fast, which would be a bit problematic in some cases.

17: Not only would her appearance arise a lot of problems, since she doesn't have hands and needs to high kick doors open with her foot if she doesn't just bust them down like in the final chase, but she knows she's in Lil Puss mode (her lines change), and isn't co-operating, which is why the language notebooks allow wrong answers to be registered, unlike the math notebooks. Also on every tenth language notebook she insults you (in every mode).

18: Spoilers. But see the hidden gallery that's pretty much just a hall of fanart along with various helpful items which the staff don't know how to get in. That's a good idea though, apart from the question of what to put in the room with Phonty instead. I've considered that for secret paintings, which should only be accessible once you know the secrets. Like, if you enter teleporting doors in the Math Level with a Rusty Fork, maybe you'd see something like that.

19: I know mrdrnose has various things he needs to work on in English rather than Russian, but Marzia is a Grammar Nazi - but instead in Soviet Russia.

20: See Discord. A massive chat room with history dating back to over a year where they just be themselves. Weirdos...lol... Really though, you should catch up. I think I even might, just out of curiosity.

You really should go to Discord and catch up with everyone - I know I haven't - or at least Twitter, YouTube and Itch (see the newest version of AEWVS and also the Christmas Curse DLC if you haven't seen it yet). By the way, to everyone wanting it to be rid of memes, I say, don't bother. The Christmas Curse DLC is confirmed canon by mrdrnose, despite going against many of the things already established in AEWVS (like how they're celebrating Christ) and being much more like a costume party in terms of costumes. If Viktor likes memes, let him - this game is about him, after all, and it's not always about memes.

Anyway, did you mean events? I think you did. And what do you mean about the "level generator without 3 lives"?

I mean events like Baldi but a lot different and scary and like you said about the level generator 3 lives will be short this is why maybe 10 or none live.

Still...having randomly generated rooms with various chances of improperly generated sections and flukes or bugs detracts from the true strategy of the game, as well as Angell's ability to go back and jump around in time.

Great comment, great suggestion, I have to say the random event thing, it isn't needed and needed to be called, or exactly like in Baldi. If you mean scary stuff happening randomly, yes, like a chance that the ceiling would fall down and you would have to jump over it, randomly! Like Grandma, but Grandma's minor. Puss mode, I like the idea! Final Chase, yes, the music sounds like something that would fit to Corvus, I don't know if it fits but it's good. Alice music.... Nah, it sounds like it's obviously ripped from some japanese games. I actually agree about removing the fanart from language! And get new sentences. This "Don't trust to him! She will find her" over and over stuff, it's just weird to any players. Hell mode, yes, great idea. Cries while solving the notebooks, yes.

SPOILER ALERT: You know the drill, if you've never come across a fork before in AEWVS (the ones in Christmas Curse don't count) and want to keep the element of surprise flowing, get lost...

(NOTE: Do anything but get lost even if you want to figure things out on your own in AEWVS. You'll really have to know where you are and what you're doing, lol. But back to this.)

Yep. This is how I measure stuff. Every time. Tiles are out of proportion though. So anyway, here's the guardian abomination, made all-encompassing emoji meme abused and spammed in Discord by MrDrNose even outside spoilers channels: Antibreather!


It looks a bit out of proportion, but that'll be sorted later. And with that, the AEWVS sprite character roster is almost complete! :D


So, we have...let's see. Doggos, the Priest, which appears in literally a split second and can't give you the achievement of insanity death anymore because of MrDrNose's change, Smile Wolf, the Gingerbread-Men, the Followers, and the Watcher. Who I'll stick with the old design anyway until it gets an official change, because who cares. (checks wiki) Oh yeah and Gregory. No. Anyway, we only have 7 left--wait, what? That's a bit more than I expected, but whatever, it's still quite a bit less than 15. Once those are done, we'll be all finished! Yay. Then I'll do the BBIEAL characters next. I have plans. Maybe. I was never trained to have schedules. So yeah! Stay tuned for more stupid summoning rituals!

Oh well, question answered. Yes, Alice does, in fact, have human hands. *shudder*

Today's been quite a day. Not only did I rank first for the third time in MK Tour, but I managed to draw one of the guardian abominations in the span of a single session of going out, and in less time than it takes for my computer's battery to run out. It's not the one that always gets memed by MrDrNose on Discord (you know the one), but I'm about to get to that one. So anyway, SPOILER ALERT BY THE WAY, let me introduce a character that decided to make like a normal meatball aaaaaaaaaaand cook the flesh on it. Meatball, but it's in Russian. And since it's spoilers, I may as well show a character I already drew a few months ago at the same place I drew this one: Allie the Teddy. Like, same location. Apparently it's rather good to draw sprites there.

SPOILER ALERT: YOU MUST LOG IN BEFORE PROCEEDING IN ORDER TO COLLAPSE THE POST. Like, seriously, you can't fully appreciate AEWVS after having spoilers instead of facing the content head-on first-time. Plus it's a horror game with unexpectations.

Yes, it is difficult to simultaneously use ghosts and backgrounds, and there's a few things I want to fix about Albert. Anyway, now that I look at it, it is quite simple, unlike it's raw counterpart, Version 0.1.1b Freek-a-del'ka, which had a bloody raw meatball. Honestly, I preferred that one, but I do see how it's kind of low-quality. I think I realise why Phonty and Fleshy are being redesigned, but still, you gotta admit those eight big threatening sharp legs were great. I'm starting to find that I'm using more colour shades for the characters, like Phonty and Fleshy (again), since they need better lighting. Also, as it turns out, I'm doing something frowned upon for most of my sprites: pillow-shading. It's the one where you just shade around the outlines. But still, ambient occlusion really works in a game with a lack of light sources and shadows. Anyway, yeah.


OML I need to redo the backgrounds and the shadows.

Wow, I'm early. Anyway, uh...not sure what you mean, but I think I get the gist of it. Yes. Maybe. But still, you gotta give it some slack. It's probably going to be way different and more complicated than BBIEAL even when the full versions of both of them are released. That was just it's starting point.

Wait nevermind, you just said "_ baldi's basics fan game" 11 times in a row on different pages and also just "baldi's basics fan game" once. Bit redundant I guess. Oh well. Still though, you should really check this one out. They've all been posted "1 hour ago" so I don't think you really checked any of them out properly...

So, I wanted to do something in time for my birthday, but I didn't have much time, so I decided I would draw another character. But nearly every character with a tangible personality has been drawn already, and the only one I've drawn that doesn't have a personality is the Puppet. I decided I would draw him because he was ugly. Oh, and also Granny, who's a little bit more interesting even though she barely has much to say for herself.

So I considered my options. We had...Smile Wolf...Doggos...the Priest...Baldi...literally anyone from BBIEAL...those two guardians...the Gingerbread-Men...the Followers...the Watcher...and then Phonty. Meh, I just decided to do Phonty, because at least he's the partner of the most round character in the game: Erie. Even though she's also flat. Literally.

So I was going to do some stuff, but I didn't do it in time for my birthday because I was too late, so I decided whatever, I guess I'll just do it for Halloween which was like just two days later. But what do you know, I barely gave myself an opportunity to do anything, especially in the heat with my computer amplifying itself with it! And then when I had the opportunity, the totally poor cats were harassing me so I gave in and wasted a bunch of time. A bit over half an hour. You know, I don't think I would've finished in time anyway. Now it's 1:30 AM (don't judge me, I have no personal schedules at all) and Halloween's already gone and it's November. But whatever, here you go.


Drew Phonty in...maybe a bit less than an hour, who was an absolute pain to measure because of his tendency to have to sit on stools if he's not standing up with his legs out. And he's a lot further below head height in AEWVSCC than AEWVS and I don't even know if his size is different, so that was unreliable. For now, I just did the current version of Phonty. I can see now why you decided to redesign it after seeing an identical phonograph in another game. Must be a stock model. But why give him just six round legs this time? I liked him better when he had those eight big threatening sharp legs.

Everything looks awry now. Angell's head height compared with the ceiling is higher in AEWVS than with the tiles and sprites. Something is definitely wrong.

So, um.

I just had this great big idea to accurately measure characters relative to Angell's face* without having to try to get the angle just right.

So I went and downloaded XMouse Button Control to lock the Y axis.

Then I went back to AEWVS, which crashed three times, locked the mouse and guess what?

It didn't work.

What a waste of downloading time.

It would've been WAY easier to just go and backup my save data and use an earlier version of AEWVS.



Waaaaaaaait a minute...! You need Version 0.0.6 which is not available for download, right? And the earliest version I have aside from 0.0.1 and 0.0.3 is 0.0.7, isn't it? Dang!

*This was my method for drawing every single one of the characters so far, including Helpscreen, Viktor, Marzia, Alice, Laura, Mix, Cleany, Grandma, Puppet, Erie and Al.

OMW just realised how inconsistent Angell's in-game sprites are. Like, since nobody actually sees what she's wearing, nobody notices or cares. So I just looked at the death screen where she got piked, and the other ones where she's on the floor. Big difference!

I was going to redesign Angell so it's more consistent with the game but even the game isn't consistent...Have we all settled on this one? I'm pretty sure we have. Why is it upside down. Anyway, yeah. We've also settled on her wearing a dress so there's that. Oh, yeah and I just remembered...she walks like she has shoes on even though she's barefoot. I think I was gonna say something else but I forgot so bye.

It's possible that Angell's outfit will change 👀

The problem is, I don't see where she wears the Belt without the fold in the rags...

Game logic.

It's like how can you hold a muffin, a "key", a magnet and an donut all at the same time. In what's she's swearing, I don't think there's pockets.

Better yet: four entire Christmas trees with only one of them on one arm. And still, the weight doesn't pull her down when she runs.

True. When being thrown in a boiling cauldron, I don't think you can open your eyes. Yet she stares at Mix/Laura for quite a long time while her eyes are burning. (Even the new "closing eyes" in cauldron system, it should just close your eyes instantly or something.)

Dude...IDK why he uploaded Version 0.0.7b (he probably said why in Discord), but we're at Version 0.1.3b. Why not play that and see what's new? And, why did you follow me?

Uploaded it because new versions are 32 bit by default and some OS can't run the game, and i made visible old 32 and 64 bit versions to test this.

Hey again...Barely anything happened in a while but guess what I did?

I found a way to climb on the furniture!!! >:D



Climbing on furniture is an ideal strategy for outrunning the angry, altitudinally-incapacitated teachers - if only it were for the capability to JUMP! So you might be wondering, "how the heck did you manage to get up there?" Well, it only works with using the sick beds as a ramp, so if you're pretty much anywhere else, you won't be able to climb on anything, since even using the sick beds doesn't get you anywhere except for the top of the...um...pillow. You'll have to run up to the top of the bed and ledge grab onto the table by foot, but be careful because you'll run for a bit after you get there and usually just land on the floor, so, yeah. The limitations of the game honestly make me question Angell's humanity. I mean, not really, but the game just acts like she just stands there in an A-pose while moving.

I'm pretty sure I was going to discuss another thing, but I forgot, so...yeah.

The med room, imagine sleeping on those beds O_O

Anyways, there actually hasn't been an update for AEwVS for several months, so I don't think it will be updated for quite a while.  You will probably hear a lot when a new update is released, but you never know!

This is my best attempt at sanitizing Dark Freudenmacher, 90% cleaned of blood. The eyes were very difficult to clean.

Yeah I did say I had to redesign it, just like mrdrnose did for the last 13 times.* As soon as I drew that, I knew it was going to look terribly out of proportion as soon as you looked at it from another angle - or even just the front. I mean look. Anyway, I redesigned it, and it looks much better now. Can't believe it took me this long to notice how she has two claws on her right hand, not three. Oh and by the way, I didn't actually take that long to do it. I just had a lot of things to do. This endeavour started, like, what? 4 months ago?


yeah im a person of consistency. Oh, and you do NOT want to see what it looks like against an unclarified background.


Anyway, there's something I want to talk about quick. I've started to notice that Erie's quite an out-of-place character in AEWVS for three reasons:

  1. Erie doesn't like Viktor, despite him, Erie and/or Helpscreen seemingly representing mrdrnose in some way. Kinda wanna know if some of them do.
  2. Being a librarian just doesn't suit her. She may have a librarian job, but it's clearly a pain and also something totally not her niche. I mean, she doesn't even read any of the books. And no matter what book you give her, she shreds it anyway. Why can't she just shred all the books at the library herself?
  3. If you've seen mrdrnose's Twitter or social media where he does random stuff about Erie redesigning herself and doing random things post-game, you'll see how casual, and, dare I say, unsuitable for a horror game she is. (I don't even remember the way I was going to say it to begin with but there. This is my main point.) She's not scary or terrified or anything. She's just an angry robot that chokes you with her claws, demands you around and then swears at you once she's done with you.

Now that Erie's already in AEWVS and established connections with Phonty, Alice and some others, the game just wouldn't be the same without her. She needs to get more involved or do something that's actually scary or sad, or at least have darker secrets or an unsettling journal in her room. Also another point I couldn't think of any way to say properly.

I still have some questions (not just about your random choices I want to be endarkened** about, mostly about all the redesigns and other odd things), but you know what? I think I'll just wait for you to get back to me.
