Started the game with the latest 0.2.4 and I got a wierd problem: all the cassettes I send end up being empty. I tried multiple times and checked every step to be sure I'm not doing something wrong, but I always get the same result.
Loading an existing save-game has caused my drives to disappear! I managed to make them come back by "Alt-E" the box, but the drive I was processing lost all information on it as well.
Not only this, but all the satellites that had server issues were magically fixed.
Right next to the giant boxes in the corner, the drive is visible when viewing facing away from the garage door on the left side of the stack of pallets
I'M SORRY. But is this any kind of horror game? I was downloading a signal, then i heard THE KEYPAD BEING USED and getting an incorrect password. I opened the door myself because a drone was landing, but nothing was there. I have NO IDEA what happened but now i am one hell of scared.
Can't use the processer. I get the signal, download it, play it, then upload it to the drive and then to the processer, and it just errors. Idk what to do, this disappoints me.

Frankly, I wasn't really gonna play this. It kinda seemed a bit boring to me, and plus I had lots of things to do - things I should've been doing all this time, and lots of time-wasting things, I guess. I mean, let me guess, there will be arirals. Might have to check it out sometime though, it seems like everyone found it interesting
So far loving the game despite the slide show lag I experienced when entering the dream sequence. probably because the information icon bugged out. The Quad bike is great but seems to run low quite quickly and it's can make moving through the trees annoying. A well tread path could solve the issue of having to drive through the trees. Other than that I'm loving this.
Great game, beyond the fact I'm now at the farthest satellite from the base and too tired to drive home. While I understand the point of the exhaustion mechanic is to keep players from stretching their periods without sleep to the max, the inability to even return back to base at a faster than walking pace is annoying at best.
I agree. A minimap depicting player location relative to the dish array in-world. For now, I've been referencing the dish map on the wall (left of main console) and planning "routes" and it seems to save fuel. I'm assuming the letters on the wall map correspond to the first letter of the dish name. Ie "X" for Xaviera, etc.
I encountered the problem that some signals, the most interesting ones, after processing them on the computer are not listenable, not only me but also a Twitch streamer, Yotobi, has encountered this problem. Is that right or is it a bug?

Here is a mid gameplay review from my experience (day 9)
First of all the game as itself is amazing, great concept and inspiration and well executed.
The gameplay is engaging and the atmosphere is spooky!
I loved to analyse signals having the hope to find something strange and the propotion of normal/strange signals is just right for me.
Having to go in the wild to correct antena's servers is a good idea but can be a bit frustrating sometimes for X reasons:
- Navigation to antennas can be difficult due to the important number of trees in the way (maybe add roads?).
- Limited time plus fuel constraints can leave you overwhelmt by the number of downed servers.
- The sound effect (echo) outside make you feel like you are in a cave.
Now in 9 days I didn't got the opportunity to found something really weird yet appart from a strange voice sounding signal but the dude from the mail was already freaking out well before ^^.
Though the game did managed to give me goosebumps thanks to well thought sound effects and power cut!
My gameplay was overall a great experience but on issue might have changed more or less my experience, the fact that I couldn't understand how to do daily task properly, limiting my abilities to upgrade components...
What "levels" and "signals" means should be better explained. I still don't know what levels really mean, is it the component level or the level of study pass on signals ( 1 2 or 3)?
Fixing servers can quickly get frustrating due to the repetitive gameplay so I suggest to reduce the number of upgrades needed to get more stable servers, though this might be due to the precedent issue.
And an other tip, I think you can make the river a bit less deep! I was scared to cross it with the cyberquad ahah, also on an other note, I felt like I had to sleep a lot.
You made an amazing work and I can't wait to see how you will improve the game over next updates, thanks!
Same for me, I really don't get how it works. It did it ounce but then I got lost when I had to do "levels", still don't know what it means, tried to compute signals, upgrade my levels in the computer ect.
Me and my friend were both playing and first I was trying to figure out how to fuel the vehicle and the container wasnt doing anything. I ended up putting it in my inventory, took it out to try again, and found the canister empty. Friend had the same issue. I dont know if the second canister in the garage is suppose to have fuel but it was already at 0 too (for me. Not for him)
So when I try to clean up signal in right console, I'll just get error sound. I put drive in, upload it, it shows right size, but pressing button just throws error. Is it because I tried to clean up drive that can be find behind consoles?
If you mean the most right panel\console, your computer level is 0 and you cant process the signals yet, you have to upgrade Computer Level in the notebook)
Every time i click download and get the extension idk what to do after that to actually download the game it's self and i am new to this site so idk much. And idk if i can do it for free or if i have to pay.

same issue here it works in the tutorial but not in the actual game. Maybe try a older demo like 0.2.3 or something because 0.2.4 doesn't work for me.

I tied the game but I got lost the 1st time I went out to fix a satellite. How can I find a way back to the control room?
i clicked download and i got a file named d024. What do i need to do to run the game?
it's a zip file you need 7zip or winrar to open the zip file
Extract the zip file, then locate the .exe named VotV and open it.
I dont understand the daily task levels what is a level 1. 2 .3 and so on signal ?

From what i figured out a level zero one is a signal thet u just got level one is after u proces it one aand so on
1, 2, and 3 refer to how many times it's been processed. Level 0 would be unprocessed. Level 1, processed once, etc.

How do I type to rename my audio logs? I am not sure how and the game never told me how to do it.
Go to laptop, click on "signals" tab, and click on yellow text on a signal slot ("unnamed" yellow text by deault)

If you mean the extension is "ue4 prerequisites" just install it, it will allow you to launch Unreal Engine games like this game
