Try experimenting with a hook and using your mousewheel while doing it (because the game doesn't communicate to you that the mousewheel does anything when using the hook, I had to look that up)
Yeah, I just fired up a relatively early game save and its already at 2.5GB of memory on the process, no doubt going to get bigger as more assets and events spawn in to the game. 32-bit windows maxes out at 2gb of memory per process out of box so I'm afraid Kalo is SoL. Reinstall on 64-bit and run a 32-bit VM if you still have some other old crusty stuff to support
Genuinely want to help this person because I know from experience some people are using the x86 version of Windows even though their PC not only has an x86-64 CPU but also has more than 4GB of unutilized physical RAM available :)

Did you extract it with 7zip or did you just download it and open it? 7zip allows you to open compressed stuff but this does not mean it works compressed, you must right click and select the 7zip option and "extract to (compressed folder name) to create a new, uncompressed and usable folder. If you did this but are experiencing an issue with a black screen or serious graphics issues and settings being stuck at 0, then go to the settings, games tab, and regenerate data.sav
You need a program called 7zip to decompress to the file. The dev compressed it with a program called 7zip to make it smaller and easier to upload and download, but you need to decompress it, so the dev also says at the top of the page that you need 7zip to open it, but you're not opening it with 7zip, you need to decompress it so you can open it without 7zip. 7zip is not the only program that does this and if you have winrar or a similar program that can open 7zip archives (winrar and 7zip both share each others compression and decompression algorithms so either works) than that works too, 7zip is just a free and public use archiving tool. When you have an archiving tool installed, there will be an option in the right click menu to extract (decompress) compressed files, and in that right click menu, you can choose to extract here (which will empty the contents into wherever the compressed folder is; so don't do extract here, like, ever, extract to (the name of the compressed file), which creates a copy of the compressed folder, but decompressed, and a bunch of silly options meant more for convenience of online workers that you can ignore. Just use extract to (folder name) and the folder it create will work fine as is, assuming your computer can actually run the game.

In the garage you have trash bags, use them to collect trash piles. In store you can buy item box and put trash bags in it, then send it by drone, they send you some money for it. Buy more trash bags in store, collect more trash and send it. Ta-da, you got rid of trash and got some money.

Ye, just to store garbage so it won't take up space on ur base, but sell it will give you more profit. I think that by collecting all the garbage from the generators and base you will get about 1000+ points in total ! the game is way too early in development to have multiplayer right now. the game needs to be fleshed out further before multiplayer can even be considered right now.
Please help me! I tried to print the model on an industrial printer. After that, the game crashed. This saving now causes the game to crash every time. Other saves work well. What can be done in this situation?
the only way you might be able to fix this is by resetting various elements of your save then try loading. if this is the solution, it will likely be events/objects that have to be reset. if you do this make sure you set the day your save was on before in the reset menu. keep in mind this will reset ALL objects in the map, which includes purchased objects, furniture, drives, etc.
(RESOLVED) Downloaded the game last week, really good game. But 1 or 2 days ago all my settings progress etc. got deleted for some reason, I have since tried to recover the world, but swiftly gave up, deciding to restart, but story mode is locked and whenever I try to re-do the tutorial it never loads. Has anyone else experienced this? If so can I fix it somehow?
I think it's a bug or something similar but it seems that you can force some events by being in the shower while having energy at 0 with food below 20 and entering ragdoll constantly (if you are going to do this keep in mind or in mycase that you can be softlocked by one of these events)

The FAQ mentions that disabling volumetric lighting can greatly reduce memory usage. Would that be enough to get this to run?
I think that is vram consumption, I don't see any different in system ram consumption with it toggled

I've seen someone make a custom vent you can print in the 3D printer that fits in snugly. Only downside is that rain still goes through it.

i'd recommend regenerating or deleting your 'data.sav' file
