I have been playing for a while and the most annoying this is that when you get hungry you kind of just fall over. It is VERY annoying especially if you are on a vehicle and it is even more annoying because it is hard to get hunger back. Other than that its a great game :)
There is many hidden food items around the map, and MREs are one of the most expensive foods per credit. Try other options! Also, turn the game difficulty down! It slows time, hunger, and tiring, the only downside is it makes daily tasks easier and less profitable. IMO if you plan to play for a week or two straight, easy is best anyway as it gives you more time to explore and try out game mechanics and work in general

I discovered one thing, if you attach any item to the quad with a nail, our vehicle will disappear, but of course will reappear, so don't worry, I tried to make an "improved quad" I attached 2 iron sheets to it, and 2 planks to those sheets, then I installed a digital card next to the steering wheel, also nailed a radio, I tried to steer, and I succeeded! Saved the game, restarted, and i see that the quad appeared in the garage, but the stuff i added to it stayed where the quad was last time, i think if they didn't disappear it would be a great opportunity to improve my transportation, i even tried to make the quad something like a roof with doors, but i'm not much of an engineer and it all fell apart. .... Anyway, you can just detach the part with a crowbar and put it back on, but it's a shame that everything I did fell off and the ATV is in the garage :( P.S I used a translator, sorry for the mistakes in the text :)
So, I was digging through my game files, 'cuz I really wanted to upload some MP3/4s, to make use of the TV and Radio. I'm on 0.6.3, but... My game doesn't even have a folder called 'Assets,' let alone individual folders for TV/Radio. Not sure what I should do?
It's from the devs broken update I believe. They broke the game recently and took out the ability to input assets personally. It should be fixed at some point whenever they feel like the one person spam messaging them is punished enough(assumption).
Might be fixed already actually? Looks like 0.6.3b is released without patchnotes. Downloading now to see if its actually fixed but the patchnotes in the discord make it seem like it.
This is probably one of the most horrifying games I've ever experienced. The people who worked on this have obviously put their heart and soul into it, cause the scares and mechanics that are even currently in the game are EXTREMELY effective, and it keeps me both interested and terrified.
Not to mention that the differing gamemodes allows for me to relax far more than in the story mode while still being able to engage with some of the most interesting parts of the game.
I will be following both the creator and their work with a vested interest.
i think if you load save the gas goes away but if you put a gas can on the white circle it fuels it, then you plug something in and turn the generator on with a switch on one of its sides and it will power that thing
0.6.3 is unplayable right now as you can only find the one halloween signal and the dev made le haha funny by releasing 0.6.3a which just breaks the game even more, intentionally for whatever reason. Patch coming tommorrow I think?
I think it just replaces all the regular signals, you can still get special/story signals. Also the Halloween thing ends tomorrow or you could just change your system time.
I've seen this game get played by Joel (Vinesauce Joel, otherwise known as Vargskelethor) and it seems really fun! I seem to be having some.... not so much problems, but.... every signal I find is "spooky(1)" and when i send them off for daily tasks.... the email i receive says they're empty.... is it a bug or am i doing something wrong? Also, the rain seems to come through the base, as if theres no roof XP
Well, good news is I've had one different signal, an object, but otherwise, the signals now seem to have stuff in them.... Even though I'm not hearing or seeing anything myself when I play audio through the visualiser

Hi! I'm sorry for the possibly dumb question, but I can't find the gun. I found a gun on one of the satellites and after the shot it immediately disappeared somewhere. I checked on a new game and indeed it turns out to be disposable, even if there are cartridges in the inventory. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you.

The rifle you found is a joke object. one spawns per world and it explodes on use, never coming back. Ammo is useless. There is another weapon, though.... I will say no more :)
Have an issue with latest version. After some time (around third day +- day) all consoles turns pitch black, but still works (i can set compass target and activate some easter eggs if i wright command correctly). I tried reinstalling the game, deleting VotV folder from AppData\Local, rebooting computer and still no results.
I believe it would be incredible if in the future this game had an atmosphere similar to Valheim, including similar plants and trees, so I think the game would be even darker and more incredible than it already is!
Ordered fuel, on delivery it exploded igniting garbage in the garage. Did not understand how the fire extinguisher worked, could not put out the fire, but was able to ignitе the extinguisher. Please fix it! Or is that the dev's intention...
Apparently so, but using a extinguisher can add mechanics to the game, it depends on the dev's plans. What upset me more was the fuel explosion on delivery, I don't know exactly how it happened because the character was asleep, but I think that should be fixed.
Yeah, there most definitely would be a way to use them in the later updates.
As for the explosion, the physics behaves differently when you're asleep. When the crate that had the canisters broke and the canisters collided with the nearest objects, the physics engine probably broke and sent the canister flying into the nearest wall at the speed of light, making it explode on impact. The dev would probably need to rewrite the whole sleeping mechanic to fix this VotV's fundamental issue.
After the new update, my Kerfus is broken. It looks different even when I ordered a new one. It also isn't fixing my servers but rather just spinning and jumping on one spot the entire time. Anyone else having this problem?
An interesting fact, there will be no events and events if you are not "paranoid". The game apparently has some kind of counter "paranoia" of what you are doing. By type, have you bought cameras or modules for radar or improvements for radar or have you bought a password changer. I just played purely for making money and bought only food, cartridges, boxes, gasoline and improvements for signal processing. And nothing happened to me at all. The worst thing that happened was an accidental sound in the forest and a power outage. And all the troubles began from the moment I pumped the radar (because there was nothing left in the pumping except for it), and after that everything became even more events after I bought a bunch of cameras and a password changer.

The latest version have a bug with lock. If you'll change password that starts with 0, then password will have 3 digits and so on. Now I have lock with only one digit :C And there is nothing you can do to return lock with 4 digits.
Когда будешь играть, смотри на то, как у тебя работает ОЗУ и видюха. Игра грузит их и может тебе тупо их закрывать если они не выдерживают. Ну или просто у тебя что-то стоит на компе, что не совместимо с игрой.
Ну типо можешь еще просто пофлексить и всё починиться в будущих версиях~
They probably mean the 0.6.3a removal of "funny" that can be re-enabled by solving a mathematical equation in the settings. The simple answer, don't play the 0.6.3a version, it's (literally) a joke update, the dev just does that sometimes
Test version is a test version, but there is bugs. First, i see hitbox, or something of that, of workbench, and second, all the posters are none useable and have this texture
Здраствуйте. Скачиваю значит игру, а потом когда пытаюсь зайти в нее у меня появляется ошибка. Никак не могу понять почему у всех заходит а у меня нет (я извлек игру и сделал все что нужно было. Смотрел по туториалу и даже нескольким)
Возможно ассеты неправильно скачались, найди их и удали. Потом переустанови игру и запусти её (игра заново скачивает ассеты если их нет). Если не поможет то попробуй еще раз только с выключенным антивирусником.

when you get lvl 3 computer you can just ignore dailies, and send full boxes of lvl 3 signals

Use either 7z (https://www.7-zip.org/) or NanaZip (https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/nanazip/9N8G7TSCL18R) to unzip the d063_0010.7z file. The default 7z extractor in Windows 11 is very buggy.

there is a option in settings called "show assets folder" that button will lead you to the assets folder as far as i know.

I had filtered through 7 different pings and all of them were spooky signals. Cant make money without normal signals since those count as repeats.

I know that 0.6.3a is a shitpost, but this thing happening to me on a 0.6.3a And on 0.6.3 +- at the same game-time.

The fire extinguisher isn't working at all currently, I think. You just wait until the fire goes away, it does so pretty quick.
